Welcome
From our beginning, Desiring God Community Church (DGCC) has aimed to be a church of the nations, with ministries to the nations, in Charlotte and around the world. This reflects DGCC's Gospel Purpose, Gospel Pursuit, and Gospel Practice.
Why do we exist? DGCC's Gospel Purpose
We exist to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples.
What do we do? DGCC's Gospel Pursuit
We glorify God by joyfully treasuring Christ and prayerfully pursuing Christlikeness in the love of the Father and the power of the Holy Spirit.
How do we do it? DGCC's Gospel Practice
Seeing Jesus together as a family.
Sharing Jesus with one another as his disciples.
Showing Jesus to all peoples as his witnesses in our neighborhood, in Charlotte, and in the world.

Covid Guidelines (revised March 2, 2022). It now looks like Covid will be with us always in one form or another. While we will have no requirements for participation in our services going forward, we encourage all to continue to live out Philippians 2:3 ("In humility count others more significant than yourselves") by abiding by these guidelines for our indoor services:
- Should you have any symptoms consistent with Covid, consider staying home, social distancing, avoiding physical contact, and/or masking while indoors at our services. We thank you for using biblical wisdom in making these decisions.
- We will restrict seating to every other row in the section farthest to the left facing the stage for those wishing to maintain social distance during the service. Most Sundays, we will also open the nearby door to increase ventilation. If others sit in that section masked, we encourage you to wear masks also, or to consider moving to a different section.
- Be aware that those who are masked may prefer to avoid handshakes and hugs. Please be sensitive to this.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Should Charlotte experience a wave of infections from a future variant, we will consider revising these guidelines.
